| Firstly, thank you to Chris and Wendy for being so welcoming and friendly to us throughout the week. We have had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our week in Cygne. We particularly enjoyed the social and friendly atmosphere around the gite properties engendered by the salle de fete and bbq evening. It really helped us to meet and have good conversations with lots of other groups of people. The girls, 8 and 3 had a great time and the environment is safe and considerate for younger children, in particular the gates around the pool and pool alarm. | A lovely combination of secure ie English speaking hosts and neighbours (with plenty of opportunity to make friends) with the chance to experience a French gite holiday and explore one of the lesser known areas of France. A very good 'beginners in France' holiday particularly for those with children. Also an excellent standard compared to other French gites which we have stayed in which are 'authentically rustic' in the extreme ! The swimming pool at Les Vallaies is wonderful for children of all ages (and if you stay in Cygne you can watch them through the gate !) | Wonderful ! Really child friendly - little touches like the toys and bathmat make a world of difference. The kids made friends easily in the play area and pool and would have happily stayed on, as we would. Thanks for everything. | We really enjoyed it - children loved the play area and it felt very secure. The neighbours were friendly and the atmosphere relaxed - all instigated by the attitude of Chris and Wendy. | We enjoyed our visit and stay at Cygne. Both Chris and Wendy were great hosts with plenty of advice and suggestions on where to go, places to eat and sites to visit. They also arranged a number of activities which you could join in if they took your fancy. The moules and oyster evening was great fun and the wine tasting a must. The accomodation was reasonably good and certainly much better than most I've stayed in. The beds in particular were very comfortable and the linen good quality. The general equipment level was also good and enabled us to cater adequately for ourselves. The games room was a great hit with the kids with books and games for all to use. | Cottage fantastically equipped to deal with families with young children. We have all been able to relax. Property great for children, all mixed together, had great fun playing in the garden/pool.. Area, very good as has the feeling of being very rural but it was easy to get to supermarkets/towns when necessary. We all really enjoyed the vine walk.
