Child friendly Les Vallaies is a group of Family friendly self catering holiday gites with Heated pool. They lie in the rural hamlet of Le Puy de Brette near St Jean d'Angely in the Charente maritime region of SW France. It is surrounded by open countryside .. Chris is our pool man and takes great pride in its daily maintenance. It is very child friendly and ideal for young children as it has a gently sloping beach style entrance. All the family will enjoy it though as it has a 1.80 m deep end too, perfect for play and more serious swimming. It has underwater lighting and a jacuzzi. It is surrounded by a terrace with lots of sun beds and is entirely enclosed for safety. The family friendly cottages are set in a rural location, 6 miles east of St Jean D'Angely in the Charente Maritime region of SW France. The region is approximately a 4 hour drive from St Malo, 7hrs from Cherbourg and 9 hrs from Calais.

We believe that our gites location is the best in the Charente Maritime offering the tranquility of the countryside yet being central for all beaches and places of interest in the region. Visit the Puy du Fou ,  Fort Boyard , Futuroscope , Aquarium , & La Palmyre zoo. Theres so much to do. The hamlet is just a 10 min drive (6 miles) from all major facilities such as supermarkets and banks. The town of St Jean d'Angely also has a good selection of restaurants.

Chris and Wendy have been living in France offering family friendly self catering gites for rental for 13 years. We have therefore gained a wealth of experience in what makes the perfect  child friendly family holiday. We also have two young children of our own so fully understand the needs of the family when booking a self catering gite rental property in France. We fell in love with this SW region of France not only for its superb beaches, historic towns and beautiful rural countryside but for the relaxed way of life, fantastic food and of course, the wine. Since we live in the next village we provide peace of mind that everything will be in order, clean and ready for your arrival. We are also able to provide a number of services to add to your holiday enjoyment and make it as relaxing as possible. We can provide cots, stairgates and highchairs and many other things such as toddler steps, baby baths, sterilisers, changemats etc all free of charge on request, so save you room in the car . We have a good selection of board games and books in each cottage and also we provide lots of local information and are familiar with restaurants and places of interest . We also have a 'day out folder' with the sights you must not miss and comments from previous guests about the places they've been to. We are happy to chat to you and are available at anytime, but we don't intrude on your privacy. Wendy is a registered child minder and provides a babysitting service.

Come and sit in the cool spa looking on at your children splashing and laughing in the pool. Lie back on your sunbed as the hot sun drys and tans you.
